About the seminar

The nationwide professional seminar Obstetric and Gynecological Care through the Lens of Current Clinical Protocols and Guidelines was held online on 1 March 2023, starting at 15:00.

The event was organised by the Odesa Branch of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine, official CPD provider No. 1118.

Co-organisers included Odesa National Medical University, the Health Department of the Odesa Regional State Administration and the Health Department of Odesa City Council.

The planned audience was 200 participants.

Audience and objectives

The seminar was intended for obstetrician-gynecologists, family physicians, urologists, neurologists, surgeons and other professionals involved in obstetric and gynecological care.

Its objective was to support implementation of current clinical standards and evidence-based approaches to diagnosing and treating pregnancy and childbirth complications, gynecological diseases and gynecological cancers.

Certification

Participants could receive 10 CPD points after achieving at least 70% correct answers in the final online assessment.

Registration remained open until 14:00 on 1 March 2023.

Programme

The programme covered:

  1. standards of care for normal pregnancy;
  2. evidence-based guidance on hypertensive disorders in pregnancy;
  3. the unified clinical protocol for cesarean section;
  4. current recommendations for deep infiltrating endometriosis;
  5. evidence-based guidance on endometrial hyperplasia;
  6. evidence-based guidance on ectopic pregnancy;
  7. implementation of the clinical protocol on abnormal vaginal discharge;
  8. current management algorithms for uterine leiomyoma;
  9. discussion and final conclusions.

Assessment

Knowledge assessment was conducted through an online test after the seminar. Participants were required to answer at least 70% of the questions correctly to receive certification.
