Current Issues in Women’s Health Today: Modern Approaches, Achievements and Prospects

About the professional school

The nationwide professional school Current Issues in Women’s Health Today: Modern Approaches, Achievements and Prospects was held online on 30 June 2022.

The event was organised by the Odesa Branch of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine, official CPD provider No. 1118, in cooperation with Odesa National Medical University.

The CPD event number was 6000, and the planned audience was 200 participants.

Audience and objectives

The programme was intended for obstetrician-gynecologists, family physicians, endocrinologists, neurologists and other professionals involved in women’s health and maternity care.

Its objective was to introduce modern approaches to pregnancy and childbirth management and to multidisciplinary women’s health problems during wartime.

Certification

Participants could receive 5 CPD points after achieving at least 70% correct answers in the final online assessment.

Registration closed at 14:00 on 30 June 2022.

Programme

The programme covered:

1. adaptation of Ukrainian maternity care during wartime;
2. temporary abdominal aortic occlusion to prevent blood loss in placenta increta;
3. diagnostic and treatment approaches to stress urinary incontinence;
4. somatoform autonomic dysfunction during pregnancy under stress;
5. gestational diabetes in current clinical conditions;
6. prevention of pregnancy complications;
7. contemporary approaches to chronic pelvic pain;
8. personalised preconception preparation for high-risk pregnancy.

Presentations lasted 12–15 minutes, followed by 10–15 minutes for questions and discussion.

Non-CPD sessions

The sessions on pregnancy complications, chronic pelvic pain and personalised preconception preparation were included in the programme but did not provide CPD points.

Assessment

Knowledge assessment was conducted online through Google Forms after the event.
