Program of medical and psychological support of pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period in a crisis situation of hostilities
A joint project of the Odessa branch of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine and the Association of Child, Family and Perinatal Psychologists and Teachers "Psyche". The aim of the project is to develop and implement a program of psychological assistance for pregnant / recently pregnant women, as well as medical staff of maternity hospitals during the crisis period of hostilities in Ukraine.

The activities of the Branch of the Association are aimed at promoting the level of professional competence of obstetricians and gynecologists of Odessa region, creating an information system and social and legal protection of obstetricians and gynecologists, members of the Association.
The Odessa branch was established and registered as a regional branch of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on September 23, 1998.
The main purpose of the Association is to promote scientific, theoretical and practical solutions to modern health problems of women, mothers, children and families, continuous professional development and training and protection of common interests of members of the Association.
Promoting the development of priority areas for the health care system for women, mothers, children and families in cooperation with public health authorities.
Promoting new approaches to the system of training obstetricians and gynecologists, their postgraduate training to increase professional competence.
Promoting the continuous improvement and monitoring of the knowledge and qualifications of obstetricians-gynecologists, other relevant specialists, and nursing staff in the Odesa region.
Studying and implementing modern scientific achievements, expanding contacts and exchanging experience with professional associations of other countries.
Promoting the level of sanitary culture of the population on women's health, strengthening reproductive health.
Promotion of a personalized approach and preventive direction in health protection, reduction of morbidity and mortality.
Development of a program for psychosocial support, mental health preservation, and enhancement of psychological resilience among female patients and healthcare workers in the context of armed conflict and other emergencies.
Membership in the Branch of the Association is individual.
Membership in other organizations does not deny membership in the Association.
Admission is carried out by the Presidium or Executive Committee at personal request.
Members may be citizens of Ukraine and other countries aged 18+, with relevant medical education.
The document certifying membership is a membership card.
Elect and be elected to governing bodies of the Association.
Submit proposals on issues within the scope of the Association.
Use the services provided by the Association as a priority.
Be a member of other public associations.
Appeal their withdrawal from the Association to the President.
Actively promote the implementation of the Association's program.
Comply with the Charter and Regulations of the Odessa branch.
Pay entrance and membership fees.
Membership may be suspended if activities contradict the Association's goals or in case of non-payment.
Advises Association members on scientific and practical research in obstetrics and gynecology and assists with peer review, publication and defence of research results.
Organizes competitions, awards and other forms of recognition for authors of outstanding work and active Association members.
Provides public support for retired obstetricians and gynecologists and assists maternity hospitals and medical institutions.
Promotes international cooperation in maternal and child health and collaborates with international organizations, researchers and public figures.
Organizes specialized exhibitions and auctions and publishes promotional materials related to the activities of the Branch.
Attracts voluntary donations from Ukrainian and international citizens and organizations, including funds, property, material assets and works of literature and art.
Organizes professional trips for members within Ukraine and abroad and receives Ukrainian and international specialists.
Concludes agreements with organizations and institutions.
Carries out publishing activities and produces film and video materials related to the objectives of the Branch.
Participates in public expert reviews and clinical trials of medicines, medical equipment and treatment methods used in obstetrics and gynecology.
Organizes and participates in scientific and practical conferences, symposiums and other events in Ukraine and abroad.
Maintains professional contacts with Ukrainian and international organizations, companies and their representatives.
Concludes domestic and international agreements and conducts foreign economic activity in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
May conduct necessary entrepreneurial activity through the establishment of legal entities in accordance with legislation.
Nominates Association members for honorary titles and state awards of Ukraine.
Carries out other activities that comply with its statutory objectives and applicable legislation.
